Caillet
Jeanne Brou Caillet, age 77, passed away on Monday, Sept. 21, 2009 at 11:25 pm at the Luling Living Center.
She was retired as a secretary with the St. Anthony Parish Rectory and worked under a number of priests. She was born on the Evergreen Plantation in Wallace, Louisiana and had lived in St. Charles Parish all of her life. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Caillet Smith and her companion, Timothy Jeansonne; one sister, Cecile Mongrue; two grandchildren: Jeremy Smith and his companion, Pollyann Brittany Smith and her companion, Seth; and one great-grandchild, Hunter Orgeron. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell F. Caillet; parents; Felicien J. Brou and Helene Fontaine; three sisters: Sr. Marguerite Brou, Sr. Jane Frances Brou and Marie-Louise LaDow; and three brothers: Maurice, Francis and Edward Brou. Visitation was held on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 at 10 a.m. with Fr. B. Francis, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery, Luling.
