Le Belle Fleur Garden Club chosses new officers
The annual installation of officers of the La Belle Fleur Garden Club was held at the Destrehan Wildcat Kitchen. The officers for the coming year are Kate Hymel, President; Sharyn Laurenc, Vice-President; Pat St. Amant, Secretary; Cathy Montz, Corresponding Secretary, and Louise Hehmeyer, Treasurer.
Members selected for committees for the coming year are Lucille Schexnaydre and Betty Faucheux, Welcome Wagon; Penny Johnson, card committee; Janie Rome and Odette Bono, phone committee, and judges for the Garden of the Club selection committee are Alice Miller, Louise Hehmeyer and Rosalie Weber.
The club also attended a field trip to Jimmy and Linda Terrio's hydbrid nursery in LaPlace.
The annual club social was held on June 3, at the home of Jim and Sharyn Laurenc in Destrehan. The theme was black and white. Everyone wore black and white clothes and prepared black and white food for the buffet style dinner.

Police dog sniffs out suspected burglar - 1644 views
