Paul S. "Moose" Durapau, 71, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Hahnville passed away on Friday, August 15, 2009.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolina "Carrie" Medina Durapau; sons, Paul Durapau, Jr. & wife Kathleen, Walter Durapau & fiancee Deborah, Martin Durapau & wife Angela; brother, Richard Durapau; sisters, Marie Parks, Virginia Nicholas; 7 grandchildren, and 2 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcel & Marceline Kinler Durapau; brothers, Walter, Charles, Robert and Marcel, Jr. Durapau; sisters, Nora Daigle and Marguerite Lauland.

He loved woodworking, gardening and fishing. Relatives and friends were invited to attend the funeral mass at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church in Hahnville, Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 11 a.m. with burial in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for masses or flowers for Holy Rosary Church.
