The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Fahrig of Luling. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Barre of Hahnville, the late Ms. Marilyn Perrer Fahrig North, and the late Mr. Jasper Fahrig, Sr.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Folse of Boutte and Mr. Keith Jourdain of Luling. He is the grandson of Mrs. Shirley Cannon, Mrs. Elsie Jourdain, the late Mr. Oscar Cannon, and the late Mr. Victor Jourdain.
The bride, whose mother is the former Miss Shirlyn Barre, is a 2002 graduate of Hahnville High School. She attended the University of New Orleans and earned a bachelor of science degree in rehabilitation services in 2006 and a master of health science degree in rehabilitation counseling in 2007 from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. She is a certified rehabilitation counselor.
She is currently employed by the Department of Social Services, Louisiana Rehabilitation Services as a vocational rehabilitation counselor.
The groom, whose mother is the former Miss Mary Ann Cannon, is a 2003 graduate of John Curtis Christian School in River Ridge. He earned an associate of applied science degree in motor vehicle technology from Delgado Community College in 2006 and an associate of applied science degree in industrial instrumentation technology from Louisiana Technical College - River Parishes Campus in 2009. He is an ASE Certified Mechanic.
He is currently employed by Firestone Complete Auto Care in Metairie as a service technician.
The couple honeymooned in Destin, Fla. and currently resides in Boutte.

Court tosses out 75-year sentence - 964 views
A 43-year-old man who was sentenced to 75 years in jail for molestation of a juvenile and sexual battery will be retried after his sentence was thrown out by an appellate court due to a technicality.
