Dorothy ‘Dottie’ Landry, age 85, a native of Philadelphia, Pa. and resident of Luling passed away June 12, 2009.
Visitation commenced at Holy Family Church in Luling on Monday, June 15. Entombment followed in St. Charles Cemetery. Dottie is survived by two sons, Richard Landry and companion, Paulette Lawson, and Robert Landry and wife Karen. One daughter Carol Landry Krejci and husband David. One sister Emily Weightman. Eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert Caddell and Elsie Leonard Caddell, one brother Tom Leonard, and one sister; Elsie Duffin. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to the SPCA in your area. Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland entrusted with arrangements, 985-537-5261.

Police dog sniffs out suspected burglar - 1632 views
With the assistance of a K-9 officer, police were able to track down a 23-year-old man who reportedly stole items from a car and broke into a house early Friday morning.
