Mr. and Mrs. Duane Roussel Sr. of Luling announce the engagement of their daughter, Angie Alexia Roussel to Mr. Travis Gerard Ordoyne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Ordoyne. The wedding will be July 8, 2006, at St. Anthony of Pauda Church in Luling at 7 p.m.

A reception will follow at the Presidential Palace in Kenner. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roussel of Avondale, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Burrows of Bridge City. She is a graduate of Hahnville High School and Nicholls State University where she earned a degree in Secondary Education. She is employed at Destrehan High School as a Health and Physical Education Teacher. The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wade Knight of Thibodaux, and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ordoyne of Thibodaux. He is a graduate of Thibodaux High School and Nicholls State University, where he earned a degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology. He is employed by Bollinger Shipyards in New Orleans as a project manager. Following a trip to the Southern Caribbean, the couple will reside in LaPlace.
