•Damon Scott, 18, was arrested following an altercation with his teacher. Scott was allegedly upset with one of his teachers for taking away his cell phone. As the teacher attempted to turn the cell phone into the office, Scott, allegedly twisted her wrist until she dropped the phone. The victim was treated at River Parish Hospital for possible wrist injury. Scott was arrested and booked accordingly.
•Troy Burke, 44, of 584 Evangeline Rd. in Montz was arrested on March 31 and charged with DWI and speeding.
•Lance J. Rainey, 43, of 2404 Amy Dr. in LaPlace was arrested on April 3 and charged with DWI, one-way roadway and parking prohibited in specific places.
•Christopher J. Ford, 23, of 111 Aqueduct Dr. in Montz was arrested on March 31 and charged with DWI, failure to change address in 10 days, switched license plate and possession of Xanax.
•Timothy W. Hansen, 37, of 277 LaPlace Park in LaPlace was arrested on April 1 and charged with DWI and open container.
•Dwayne E. Medders, 23, of 408 Canal St. in Metairie was arrested on March 25 and charged with theft of of goods over $500.
•Soufiana Mouktadi, 30, of 1202 St. Andrew St. Apt. A in New Orleans was arrested on March 23 and charged with theft over $500.
•Oliver Banks, 53, of 240 Goodchildren St. in Boutte was arrested on March 24 and charged with relative to possession of a stolen auto and on Jefferson and St. Charles Parish sheriff’s office attachments.
•John Lumar, 49, of 270 Magnolia Ridge in Boutte was arrested on March 18 and charged with aggravated battery.
•Christopher A. Glover, 19, of 711 Second St. in Norco was arrested on March 24 and charged with simple burglary.
•Juvenile, 15, of Norco was arrested on March 25 and charged with simple burglary.
•Reginald Billiot, 38, of 108 Roy St. in Houma was arrested on March 23 and charged with second degree battery and simple burglary.
•Edgar F. Ortiz, 31, of 2324 Power Blvd. in Kenner was arrested on March 29 and charged with DWI, driving without lawful presence in the United States, misrepresentation during booking and urinating in public.
•Jacinto Sanchez-Galvan, 34, of 2324 Power Blvd. in Kenner was arrested on March 29 and charged with DWI, driving without lawful presence and urinating in public.
•Patricia Fitzgerald, 44, of 714 St. Rose Ave. in St. Rose was arrested on March 26 and charged with DWI, careless operation.
•Dwayne C. Ball, 38, of 517 Mockingbird Lane in St. Rose was arrested on March 25 and charged with possession of crack cocaine.
•Corey D. Allen, 31, of 1524 Gen Odgen in New Orleans was arrested on March 25 and charged with possession of heroin and on a Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office attachment.
•Sherman Howard, 49, of 212 W. 10th St. in Reserve was arrested on March 25 and charged with DWI, careless operation and possession of marijuana.
•Leighton A. Oubre, 33, of 2317 Church St. in Vacherie was arrested on March 25 and charged with DWI, reckless operation, possession of marijuana and expired license plate.
•Assorted jewelry was stolen from 196 Schaubhut Lane in Des Allemands on March 27.
•A 2004 Chevy Silverado, valued at $15,000, was stolen from 13459 Highway 90 in Boutte on March 27.
•A lawn mower, valued at $900, was stolen from 11648 LA 48 in St. Rose on March 27.
•Assorted tools and assorted fire fighter equipment were stolen from 581 West B St. in Norco on March 30.
•A chrome bicycle, valued at $400,was stolen from 210 Marcia Dr. in Luling on March 30.
•A 2004 Kawasaki motorcycle, valued at $2,200, was stolen from 1355 Paul Frederick St. in Boutte on March 27.
•A 2004 Chevrolet Corsa was stolen from 440 Turtle Creek Lane in St. Rose on March 28.
•A camera and two portable navigation systems, valued at $408, were stolen from Marcia Dr. in Ama on March 29.
•An X-Box and assorted video games, valued at $550, were stolen from 202 Bradwall St. in Luling on March 26.
•A purse containing several ID cards, a cell phone and $40 was stolen from 1000 Riverbend Blvd. in St. Rose on March 25.
•Four rims and tires and a welding machine were stolen from a vehicle at 130 Anthony Dr. in St. Rose on March 25.
•A GPS, valued at $300, was stolen from 110 James Dr. in St. Rose on April 1.
•Two guns and assorted jewelry were stolen from 154 Hollywood Park Dr. in Montz on April 1.
•A PA/Power system, a case used to hold DJ equipment, two microphones, cords for DJ machine, and two speakers were stolen from 305 River Ridge in Boutte on April 2.
•A riding lawn mower, a weed eater, a battery charger, a chop saw, a tool box with assorted tools, .38 caliber bullets, a .38 caliber pistol, two hoses, a pressure washer, and seven rods and reels were stolen from 121 W. James St. in Destrehan on April 1.
•A CD player, valued at $100, was stolen from 606 E. Club Dr. in Destrehan on April 1.
•Two hand-held radios, three swords, a school bag and a cell phone were stolen from 121 Peach St. in Hahnville on April 1.

Destrehan murder suspect found competent despite insanity plea - 3235 views
A Destrehan man claiming insanity in connection with the stabbing death of his live-in girlfriend has been found competent to assist his counsel by St. Charles Parish Judge Emile St. Pierre.
