Wilford Smith passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Ochsner Hospital, Jefferson. Son of the late Hazel Dyson and Willie Smith.

Husband of Ruby Scott Smith. Father of Regina and Kim Johnson. Stepfather of Leroy, Kerry, Aline, Savannah, Sherna and John, Jr. Brother of Leroy Smith, the late Raymond, Nelson and Leslie Smith. Son-in-law of Minister Audrey L. Williams.

Also survived by 34 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age 62 years. A native of Boutte and a resident of Des Allemands.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Antioch Baptist Church and all neighboring churches were invited to attend the Funeral Service at Antioch Baptist Church, 16541 Old Spanish Trail, Des Allemands on Saturday, March 21, 2009. Rev Mitchell Bolden,  officiated. Interment Shell Mound Cemetery, Des Allemands. Serviced by Robottom.
