Lisa Cortez Adams passed away on Jan. 21, 2009 at 1:24 p.m. Native of Des Allemands and resdient of Raceland. Survived by her husband Tony Adams, her father Fredick “Crip” Cortez and his wife Berdine “Dee” Cortez.
Also survived by her daughters Priscilla Rister (Andy) and Julia Adams, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her mother Julia Mae Cortez. Lisa was a member of the First Baptist Church of Des Allemands. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo and cards. Visitation was held on Sunday, Jan. 25 and Monday, Jan. 26 at the First Baptist Church of Des Allemands. Religious services were held on Monday, Jan. 26 at the Mennonite Cemetery.
