Residents warned by automated telephone message

Thieves strike vehicles in Willowdale Subdivision
Residents in Willowdale Subdivision received automated messages from Sheriff Greg Champagne via phone calls after thieves struck vehicles in Willowdale Subdivision, resulting in several items reported stolen by residents.

Residents were advised to lock vehicle doors, park in lighted places and not to leave valuables in vehicles.

Items were reported stolen from vehicles at the following addresses, 302 Beaupre Dr., #5 Azalea Ct., 108 Cottage Dr., 610 Willowdale Blvd., 216 Arlington Dr., 635 Willowdale Blvd. and 602 Willowdale Dr. In total, the accumulated losses to the thefts equalled $8,820.

"The incidents are still under investigation. We encourage residents to keep an eye out for anyone suspicious. If any resident witnesses anything suspicious they should call 1-877-903-STOP and provide information. Residents need not give their name and could be eligible for a reward up to $2,500,” said Public Information Officer Sgt. Pat Yoes of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.
