Geraldine Montz passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 9:30 p.m. at River Parishes Hospital, at age 97.
A native of Garyville. and lifetime resident of St. Charles Parish. She began teaching on a teachers certificate from Louisiana State Normal for two years and for 25 years of Saturdays at Loyola University and received her degree in education. Retired school teacher with the St. Charles Parish School Board after 41 years. She was a Catholic. Preceded in death by: parents, Henri Samuel and Henriette Keller Montz.
Visitation: Thursday, December 18, 2008 from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Norco. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. from Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with interment to follow at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery in Taft with Father Terry Hayden officiating. In lieu of flowers, masses are preferred. Funeral arrangements under the direction of H.C. Funeral Home.
