Trudy Plaisance participates in state track competition
Trudy Plaisance, a 7th grade student at R. K. Smith Middle School, participated in the Gumbo - Games Uniting Mind and Body state track competition in Alexandria.

Track and Field events were held.

Trudy participated in the shot put event and broke the state record.

She received a medal because she threw a 3.54 and the standard was 3.24.

She also ran the 60 meter race.
