Ladycats end season as district champs

Destrehan High School’s girls volleyball team reached a season high when they defeated their toughest competitor, St. Amant, on Oct. 20 gaining first place in their district. As the District 4-I champion, the girls finish the season at 12-9.

Three DHS team members were selected for the 2008 All-District team. Junior setter Alexis Keller and freshman Robin Sill were selected for first team All-District. And Ladycat Ladaisha Smith was selected for second team All-District. Coach Denise Keller was also selected as All-District coach.
