La Belle Fleur gardening club plans Christmas party
The regular meeting of the La Belle Fleur garden club was held at the home of Kate Hymel on Nov. 11 with 14 members in attendance.
The garden of the month awards for November went to Shirley and Bill Jones and Barbara and Bob Bourg.
Betty Faucheux designed a Christmas wreath to be raffled off as a club project.
The Welcome Committee welcomes new neighbors Lauren and Chad Murray.
There will be a community garden planting on Wednesday, Dec. 3. at 8 a.m. President Lucille Schexaydre will purchase snapdragons for planting.
The garden tip of the Month is to plant bulb plants now for spring blooming.
Pat St. Amant and Betty Faucheux will award the Christmas Door Decorations on Dec. 15.
The club’s next meeting will be held on Dec. 9. It will be the Christmas Party held at the home of Janie Rome.
Members will swap Christmas gifts with their “secret pals,” and bring a gift to play “Dirty Santa Claus.”
