‘Just say NO’ at Norco Elementary
NORCO - To celebrate “Red Ribbon Week” and saying no to drugs, third grade students at Norco Elementary K-3 School inflated smokers' lungs to visualize the decreased capacity of a smokers' lungs.

Arolyn Honor (pictured left), is the school’s nurse and points out a cancerous tumor, while Torrey Pons pumps to inflate the lungs.

Kamira Scott, Max Shuff and Danielle Zeringue observe.

The lungs were on loan nurse Darla Rebowe, who wrote a grant to purchase them in order to further anti-smoking education in St. Charles Parish Public Schools.
