HHS students help raise nearly $600

Water jugs with names of HHS teachers Brian Lumar, Eugenie Smith, Shelby Lanier and HHS principal Lorel Gonzales, were placed in the commons area during the lunch periods for students to drop their change in the jug of their choice. At the end of the week, the persons jug with the most money would get a pie in their face.
The total amount collected from all of the jugs was $560.02. A check for this amount will be given to United Way.
The HHS principal was the winner.

FEMA deadline passes with no new flood rates - 614 views
After indicating they would release new flood insurance rates by June 1 to be applied to local homes under the Biggert-Waters Act, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has said the release of that information will now be delayed.
