Council on Aging announces calendar contest winners
Nine senior artists attended. Contest Judges were Ena Brady and JoAnn Hymel.
Artists were able to view all art entries, seeing the placement each will appear in the 2009 Council on Aging Inc. Promotional Agency Calendar.
Refreshments were enjoyed by all. The artwork was very impressive and included many different mediums this year, ranging from oil, pastels, watercolor, sketching, acrylic, wood and photography.

Vitter in Bayou Gauche to speak about action on flood insurance rate hikes - 1173 views
Little more than a week after officials from 14 parishes took a trip to Washington, D.C. to lobby against potential flood insurance rate hikes, some of those same officials convened with Sen. David Vitter at the home of a Bayou Gauche couple.
