Council on Aging announces calendar contest winners

COA CONTEST WINNERS. Pictured are the 2008 COA calendar contest winners: Lupe Sweeny, Anne Hymel, Merrill Zeringue, Iris Songy (back) Virgie Naquin, Evelyn Dupuy, Mary Lee and Kennith Songy.

Nine senior artists attended. Contest Judges were Ena Brady and JoAnn Hymel.

Artists were able to view all art entries, seeing the placement each will appear in the 2009 Council on Aging Inc. Promotional Agency Calendar.

Refreshments were enjoyed by all. The artwork was very impressive and included many different mediums this year, ranging from oil, pastels, watercolor, sketching, acrylic, wood and photography.
