For the second year in a row, Niki Walker Salon hosted it’s annual Locks of Love event on Sunday, Nov. 2 on location in Destrehan.

Rickey Pate, Traci Woodward, Damon Ayala and Niki Walker herself were there with scissors in hand to help customers donate to the unique and helpful organization.

Resident Elizabeth Blakesley, 13, made a 10-inch donation. Blakely’s mother says that her daughter, who is a Leukemia survivor, wanted to grow her hair long just so she could make a donation.
