DHS choir members advance to second round
Destrehan High School students Sharie Mahler - Alto 2, Daniel Duensing - Bass 1 and Andy Johnson - Tenor 1 advanced to the second round All-State choir auditions.

They competed against students from seven parishes in District VII and will now audition against students in the entire state for spots in the two all-state choirs. Second round auditions were held Oct. 11 in Pineville.

By advancing to second round, these three students automatically are placed in the District VII Honor Choir and the St. Charles Parish Honor Choir.
