Nickie Lynn Vitrano Nicks, 53, died on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008 at her home in Granbury, Texas, after a short battle with cancer.
Nickie was born and raised in Luling, then moved to Texas in 1985 when she married Craig Nicks. She was a loving mother who worked as a teaching assistant in Granbury. She is survived by her children Ashley Nicks Wootan, husband Paul, Cary Nicks, fiancé Heather Hensley, parents; Joyce and Nicholas Vitrano, sister; JoAnn Helfrich, brother; Darren Vitrano and wife Norma, nieces and nephews; Brittany, Heather and Krystal Helfrich, Kristen Vitrano, Brad Breaud, great nephew: Makhi Dufrene and close relatives that will miss her dearly. Proceeded in death by husband: Craig Nicks, grandparents; Paul and Annie Vitrano, Alberta and Julius Jones. A memorial service was held on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008 in Granbury, Texas. Her ashes will be placed along side her husband, Craig.
