Arrests
•Edward Washington, 35, of 409 Capitol Dr. in Avondale was arrested on Sept 15 and charged with possession of marijuana and codeine, no seat belt, operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license, open container, and as a fugitive of Jefferson Parish.
•Tara Rada, 25, of 136 Shaw St. in Hahnville was arrested on Sept. 15 and charged with theft of goods and as a fugitive of Jefferson Parish.
ŤNicole A. Oufnac, 41, of 100 Dianne Dr. in St. Rose was arrested on Sept. 15 and charged with DWI and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
•John M. Linder II, 29, of 106 Pine St. in Des Allemands was arrested on Sept. 17 and charged with DWI and suspended driver’s license.
•Rekita Alexander, 30, of 2 Summerton Dr. Apt. 384 in St. Rose was arrested on Sept. 15 and charged with aggravated battery and on a St. Charles Sheriff’s Office.
•Jowarski R. Nedd, 28, of 131 Carlon Dr. in Des Allemands was arrested on Sept. 12 and charged with first degree murder.
•Brian A. Veals, 25, of 2013 Glade Stone Dr. in Marrero was arrested on Sept. 16 and charged with auto theft.
•Juvenile, 14, of St. Rose was arrested on Sept. 11 and charged with looting.
•Jonathan A. Dufrene, 29, of 125 Jane St. in Paradis was arrested on Sept. 17 and charged with DWI and suspended license.
•Troy Self, 49, of 305 Santa Cruz Dr. in Luling was arrested on Sept. 18 and charged with harassing phone calls, aggravated assault and reckless operation.
•Arthur J. Schmaltz, 48, of 304 Oak St. in St. Rose was arrested on Sept. 18 and charged with theft over $500 and on a St. Charles Sheriff’s Office attachment.
•Celestine Gilbert, 30, of 354 Magnolia Ave. in Boutte was arrested on Sept. 18 and charged with aggravated battery.
Thefts
•A chain saw, valued at $475, was stolen from a vehicle at 307 Third St. in Luling on Sept. 17.
•A Glock semi-automatic gun, two magazines and bullets, valued at $681, were stolen from 116 Hollywood Park Dr. in Montz on Sept. 16.
•A cypress swing, valued at $200, was stolen from 20 Chuckwagon St. in St. Rose on Sept. 16.
•A lawn mower, a weed eater and tree snips, valued at $580, were stolen from 124 Barreca St. in Norco on Sept. 16.
•A 35 foot house trailer was stolen from 312 Murry Hill in Destrehan on Sept. 15.
•A camera, assorted jewelry and $15 in U.S. currency were stolen from a vehicle at 600 East Club Dr. in St. Rose on Sept. 18.
•Assorted tactical equipment was stolen from a vehicle at 4 Sweetgum Lane in St. Rose on Sept. 9.
•Assorted jewelry was stolen from 119 Bailey St. in Boutte on Sept. 18.

Speed patrols return to I-310 after months-long absence - 1735 views
Over the past four months, those who often travel the elevated portions of I-10 and I-310 in St. Charles Parish have noticed a lack of state troopers on the interstate.
