Arrests
•Bryan Lester Mayeux, Jr., 55, of 116 Sam St. in Boutte was arrested on Sept. 10 and charged with criminal assistance to suicide.
•Jimmie A. Hensley, Jr., 45, of 3 Redbud Lane in St. Rose was arrested on Sept. 11 and charged with DWI, vehicle unlicensed, driving under suspension, open container, and no insurance.
•Gary P. Usey, 51, of 135 Melonie St. in Boutte was arrested on Sept. 14 and charged with possession of stolen things.
•Shaun D. Green, of 204 Coronado Dr. in Luling was arrested on a warrant on Sept. 11 and charged with possession of stolen property and with two St. Charles Sheriff’s Office attachments.
•Ernest Gaitan, 48, of 76 Carriage Lane Apt. 13 in Destrehan was arrested in Sept. 14 and charged with aggravated assault.
•James D. Bunch Jr., 38, of 612 St. Rose Ave. in St. Rose was arrested on Sept. 13 and charged wtih aggravated assault and as a fugitive of Jefferson Parish.
•Thomas E. Hunt, III, 20, of 714 St. Rose Ave. in St. Rose was arrested on Sept. 11 and charged with looting and possession of drug paraphernalia.
•Javon D. Martin, 26, of 1604 St. Joseph St. in New Orleans was arrested on Sept. 11 and charged with first degree robbery and false imprisonment.
•Patrick Allen, 44, of 4335 Eastview Dr. in New Orleans was arrested on Sept. 13 and charged with DWI and reckless operation.
•Linda D. Hall, 50, of 590 Willowridge Dr. in Luling was arrested on Sept. 14 and charged with DWI and reckless operation.
Theft
•A 2002 GMC Yukon was stolen from 1 Summerton Dr. in St. Rose on Sept. 10.
•A CD player, an extension cord, lawn hedge shears, a battery charger, a portable battery, a circular saw and a sawzall, valued at $437, were stolen from 327 Amelia St. in Destrehan on Sept. 10.
•Assorted furniture, valued at $1,300, was stolen from 608C East Club Dr. in St. Rose on Sept. 10.
•A lawn mower and weedeater, valued at $530, was stolen from 810 Early St. Apt. 6 in Paradis on Sept. 11.
•A vacuum bag sealing machine, a camera and an undetermined amount of U.S. currency were stolen from 1300 block of Highway 90 in Boutte on Sept. 13.
•Two boxes of cigars and a bottle of alcohol, valued at $135 were stolen from 927 E. Harding in New Sarpy on Sept. 12.
•A chain saw, valued at $148, was stolen from 307 Estates Dr. in Luling on Sept. 13.

Little more than a week after officials from 14 parishes took a trip to Washington, D.C. to lobby against potential flood insurance rate hikes, some of those same officials convened with Sen. David Vitter at the home of a Bayou Gauche couple.
