Hilda Hymel Vicknair passed away on Friday, Aug. 1, 2008.

Beloved wife of the late Larry Vicknair. Mother of Michael Vicknair (Sandy), Mona V. Walker (Howard), Gary Vicknair (Myra) and Lisa V. Adams. Daughter of the late Philomene Waguespack Hymel and Henry Hymel, Sr. Sister of Lucille Hymel, Ethel Scioneaux, Philomene Keller, Gloria Cervantes, Henry Hymel, Jr., Ralph Hymel, the late Bernice Dufresne, Nola Chabaud and Marie Faucheux. Grandmother of Ashleigh Vicknair, Amy V. Brevelle, Stacey V. Zeringue and Josh Cormier, Mindy, Brittany and Howard Walker, IV; Harold Chiasson, IV; Deena A Mosley, Dustin, Joshua and Jeremy Adams. Great grandmother of Nathan Brevelle, Benjamin Zeringue, Hailey Chiasson and Aiden Mosley. Age 81 years. A resident of Destrehan. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Relatives and friends were invited to attend the visitation at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, River Road, Destrehan on Monday, Aug. 4, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial followed. Interment was at the St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum.
