Rosamae Dozier, home maker, died on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008 at 12:49 a.m. at her residence at age 78.
A native of Avoyelles and a residence of Ponchatoula. Visitation was at H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco on Monday, Aug. 4, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral Services were at H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco at 1 p.m. Interment in Jefferson Memorial Gardens in St. Rose. Survivors include sons, Robert and wife Kathy of Simmesport; Dennis, Sr. and wife Cynthia of Destrehan; James, Jr. and wife Deborah of LaPlace and Toby and wife, Linda of Ponchatoula, Daughters, Elaine Babin of Houma, Shirley Bordelon of New Iberia and Tammy Dozier of New Sarpy, Brother, Jay Hartley of Avoyelles Parish, LA, Sister, Margie Lemoine of Avoyelles Parish; Dorothy Johnson of Ponchatoula. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, James Dozier, Sr., Parents, Milton and Julia Bowman Hartley; Sister, Katie Kimble and son-in-law, Dean Babin and Junior Bordelon of Simmesport. Acknowledgements: She enjoyed sewing, ceramics and crocheting. She enjoyed cooking for her family.
