Come out and sing at gospel festival
Pastor Rev. Robert B. Pardo and the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Boutte invites residents for fellowship at the 11th Annual Gospel Festival, May 27 and 28 from noon to 7 p.m.
on the church grounds at 107 Magnolia Ridge in Boutte. The festival will feature good food, kiddy land for the children and crafts for all.

Legislators vow to help parish fight huge insurance increases - 507 views
Parish President V.J. St. Pierre, along with eight other parish presidents and representatives from five other parishes, visited Washington, D.C. to talk to officials about the potential spike in local flood insurance premiums should large portions of the Biggert-Waters Act be allowed to take effect in October.
