Calling all parish beauty queens
The ninth annual St. Charles Parish of Plenty Pageant will be held July 26 at the Knights of Columbus Home in Norco.
The entry fee for all divisions is $45, which includes photogenic entry. Admission into the pageant is $2.
Girls throughout Louisiana may compete. The dress code is Sunday best for Baby Miss through Junior Miss and formal wear for Teen and Miss. Crowns and monogrammed banners will be awarded to queens.
Awards for queen, alternates, photogenic, fashion, prettiest hair, prettiest smile, and prettiest eyes will be given in each group.
Proceeds will benefit the St. Charles Parish Festival Pageant scholarship fund. Queens will be presented at the St. Charles Parish Festival Pageant Aug. 2 at 5 p.m. at Destrehan High School.
Categories and times are: Baby Miss 0-11 months, 10:30 a.m.; Tiny Miss 12-23 months, 10:40 a.m.; Precious Miss 2-3 years, 10:50 a.m.; Little Miss 4-5 years, 11 a.m.; Petite Miss 6-7 years, 11:10 a.m.; Deb Miss 8-9 years, 11:20 a.m.; Jr. Miss 10-12 years, 11:30 a.m.; Teen 13-16 years, 11:40 a.m.; Miss 17-24 years, 11:40 a.m.

All girls are invited to be a contestant in the St. Charles Parish Festival Queen’s contest on Saturday, Aug. 2 at 5 p.m. at the Destrehan High School auditorium.
This year’s theme is “A Golden Gala of Glitz and Glamour” and the pageant is also celebrating its 50th anniversary.
All contestants must be a resident of St. Charles Parish and be between the ages of 13 to 16 for the Teen pageant and 17 to 23 for the Miss pageant.
The entry fee for each contestant is $75 for Teen and $100 for the Miss pageant. There is also an optional Photogenic category. The entry fee is $10.
