Gonzales, who formerly served as a St. Charles Parish Sheriff's deputy, will work as and Assistant District Attorney for a couple of months. He will then serve as an officer in the United States Navy JAG Corp. Gonzales was admitted to the Louisiana Bar Association to practice in April 2006.
"I am pleased to have Steve as a member of our team, and I think that his time here will be mutually beneficial," said District Attorney Harry J. Morel, Jr. "I think that Steve will give us invaluable insight into prosecution from the perspective of the deputies and my staff brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table to offer to him."
