ERNEST
Frank H. “Pancho” Ernest, Jr. died on May 18 at 4:30 p.m. Native of McFadden Ranch Texas and resident of Luling.
Age 79. Survived by wife of 56 years, Dorothy W. Ernest; son Kevin Ernest and his wife Missy; daughers Darla E. McBroom and husband Randy, and Dana E. Hull and husband George; sister Dorthy Williams and seven grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents Frank H. and Grace G. Ernest, Sr.; son Orion Ernest and sister Elouise Stanzel. Frank was a member of the U.S.M.C., U.S. Army, and served during WWII and the Korean War. Frank enjoyed woodworking and yardwork. He was retired from Union Carbide and The Times Picayune. Religious services were held on May 22 at Samart-Mothe Funeral Homes in Raceland at 11 a.m.

Arrest made in connection with West Bank burglary - 2481 views
The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 29-year-old Waggaman man they believe could be responsible for up to nine home burglaries that took place in Luling and Ama in the last month.
