Lucie LeBlanc Vegas, age 92, a native of Lockport and a resident of Matthews and Luling La., died Monday, May 1, 2006. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Lucie Vegas, one sister, Mrs. Earlis (Winnie) Adams, and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Sterling (Aline) Adams. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Vegas, her parents, Salvadore and Mary Boudreaux Leblanc, her brothers, Phillip LeBlanc, George LeBlanc, Luke LeBlanc, Paul LeBlanc, and Charlie LeBlanc, her sisters, Valerie Allemand, Laura Chauvin, Rita LeBlanc, Alice Walker, Adele Uzee, and Elvire LeBlanc. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary post 3665 in Raceland. A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Hilary Catholic Church, Matthews, La., on Friday, May 5, 2006 at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Savior Cemetery, Lockport, La.
