She is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the International Reading Association, and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. Sherry has presented for the Southern Early Childhood Association and TASH (Equity, Opportunity and Inclusion for People with Disabilities) in addition to serving her school and the district on several committees.
