St. Charles 4-H’ers compete in archery and food contests

Members had to actually cook the dish at home and bring one-half of the food dish and a copy of the recipe to the contest. Judges judged the dish primarily based on taste. First place winners in the foods contests qualified for the District Cookery Contest in Houma.

The Archery program is part of the 4-H Shooting Sports Program. Members learn about safety, discipline, and concentration while participating in the Shooting Sports program. Members also qualified to compete at the Regional Shoot at Tallow Creek Shooting Grounds in Goodbee.
