Cheyney Hill signs basketball scholarship with Dillard University

She will major in psychology while playing basketball for the Blue Devils. Cheyney had a good senior year for the Lady Tigers helping them advance to the state semi-finals for the first time in 20 years. She received 2nd Team All-District and was named to the All River Parish Team.

Court tosses out 75-year sentence - 984 views
A 43-year-old man who was sentenced to 75 years in jail for molestation of a juvenile and sexual battery will be retried after his sentence was thrown out by an appellate court due to a technicality.
