Scholarship offers a little help with tuition
Graduates of Destrehan and Hahnville High Schools are eligible to apply for the Ethel Schoeffner Scholarship if the student meets the following criteria: The student is enrolled in a four year education curriculum at a four year accredited state college, the student is in at least the second semester of the student’s sophomore year.
Graduates of Destrehan and Hahnville High Schools are eligible to apply for the Ethel Schoeffner Scholarship if the student meets the following criteria: The student is enrolled in a four year education curriculum at a four year accredited state college, the student is in at least the second semester of the student’s sophomore year. The student’s status must be certified by a letter from the College of Education or the College of Nursing. The deadline for turning in the application and the required supporting documents to the St. Charles Parish School Board office is June 15. Students may call Mrs. Sheryl Matherne at 785-6289, or write to Mrs. Matherne at 13855 River Road, Luling, La., 70070. The scholarship provides $500 per semester and is renewable each semester up to a total of $2,500 provided the student remains in good academic standing.
