Audrey Oertling Kirn Champagne passed away on March 1, 2008 She was born in New Orleans, January 1, 1918.
Widow of Gus J. Champagne and Joseph D. Kirn M.D. Mother of Joseph D. Kirn D. D. S. (Linda), Kay A. Kirn, Audrey Kirn Fain (Eston) and Judy Kirn Hollier (Charles). Grandmother of Brian J. Kirn, E. Paige Kirn, Lisa S. Alexander, Richard J. Pecot Jr., Leslie P. Beaton, Michael W. Pecot, Katherine P. Pitts, Ellen P. Posey, Stephen D. Pecot, Ashley E. Fain, Jennifer L. Trahan and Jason H. Lynch. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren. Sister of Beverly Oertling Doyle. She was predeceased by her parents Warren H. Oertling and Katherine Kramer Oertling; a brother Warren K. Oertling; a daughter Lynn Marie Kirn; a grandson E. Brooks and a great-grandson J. Mark Pecot. Relatives and friends were invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5200 Canal Blvd. (Formerly All Faiths Funeral Home) on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 1 p.m. Msgr. Crosby W. Kern presiding.
Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery.
