DESTREHAN - Plan to do your Holiday Shopping at the German Coast Farmer’s Market on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 8 a.m. until noon at Ormond Plantation on River Road in Destrehan. Along with delicious fresh fall produce, the Market features many value added items including rotisserie meats, fresh breads and pastries, wines and jellies, natural soaps and soy candles, and lots, lots more.

Take a hayride with Santa, enjoy Christmas music by “The Jazz Bones,” visit the St. Charles Library display, create an ornament at the Ceramic Workshop and enjoy the “Allemands Cajun Dancers” performing at 10 a.m.

Avoid the hectic crowds of the city and do your Christmas shopping at the Market, while picking up your fresh produce for your holiday dishes. Available at the Market are unique gift baskets along with Market Gift Certificates for that special person who has everything.
