Attorneys give seniors legal help at COA fair

ONE ON ONE. Attorney JoEdna Roberts shares one-on-one time with Gloria Tredaway at COA Legal Assistance Fair on Nov. 26.
Highlights included: a breakfast social; information booths for Capitol Legal Services on will and estate laws, Senior RX Program, Louisiana Department of Insurance, St. Charles Parish Council on Aging and Civil Law Attorney Fen Swann; one on one consultation, displays and literature, a jambalaya lunch and refreshments.
Presentations included: Free legal assistance and resources by Margaret Jefferson of Capitol Area Legal Services, Wills and Succession by Attorney JoEdna Roberts of Capitol Area Legal Services, Civil Law Briefing and the St. Charles Bar Association by Fenwick A. Swann III, Attorney At Law, and Medicare and Social Security Changes by Margaret Jefferson.

A Metairie man arrested in connection with the murder of Norco resident Jay Bertucci has been released from jail after the St. Charles Parish District Attorney’s Office dismissed the charge against him.
