Luling VFW to host buddy poppy drive

The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States will be sponsoring a Buddy Poppy Drive in honor of disabled veterans.

The program is derived from World War II to raise money for disabled veterans.  The buddy poppy is a flower that will be sold by veterans from the Luling VFW chapter beginning Nov. 10 at Majoria's in Boutte, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and money for the disabled veterans will also be collected at Wal-Mart from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. For more information contact Charles Cancienne at 504-756-8954.
