Hymel
Arnold Antoine Hymel, Sr., an operator for Shell Oil Refinery. A resident of Destrehan and a native of Norco, LA. Entrusted to God's loving care; Oct. 30, 2007 in Destrehan at the age of 89.
He was also a member of the U.S. Navy, having served in WWII as a Radar 2nd Class.
Survived by 2 sons; Arnold “Sonny” Hymel, Jr., wife Aline Deroche Hymel, Lynn C. Hymel, and friend Sister Mary Grace of the Blessed Sarament of Omaha, NB, 1 very special friend; Rose Guerra, New Orleans. Daughter Delores Hymel Bebic and husband Velimir, Norco, brother Clement Hymel, Metairie, sister Rose Hymel Trosclair, Reserve, 7 grandchildren; Tina, David, Mary, Niki, Teresa, Tiffany and Lindsay, 6 great grandchildren; Hailey, Devin, Dane, Austin, Abby and Gabrial. Mr. Arnold was also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his wife; Delores Duhe' Hymel; his parents; Etienne Hymel and Regina Songy Hymel, 2 brothers; Alban Hymel and Gererd Hymel, 1 sister; Blandine H. Williams, 2 grandchildren; Christie Hymel and Brandon Hymel.
Visitation commenced on Friday, Nov. 2, 2007 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Norco from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at noon. Rev. Terry Hayden, celebrant. Entombment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan. H.C. Alexander Funeral Home of Norco in charge of arrangements.
