More treats and less tricks at HHS library
BOUTTE - The Hahnville High School Library celebrated Teen Read Week during the week of October 15 -19. Students participated in trivia questions, book giveaways, treat jar guessing, a Barnes & Noble gift card drawing and a Coffee House Night.

Treats were given out to the students throughout the week.  The lucky winners were:  Barnes & Noble gift cards - Jessica Gardiner & Nathan Anderson, Book Givaways - Rechelle Fields, Paul Glorioso, Ruby Middleton, Michael Morin, Nicole     Coleman, Brittani Champagne, Richard Carbo, Amber East, Maegan Watson & Zachery Townley-Smith, Treat Jar Guessing Game - Vanderbill Jackson, Trivia Questions - Maegan Watson, Cory Kinler, Vianca Turner, Byron Raymond & Michael Morin.

The St. Charles Parish Housing Authority has been ordered to repay more than $600,000 because they did not verify the income of those receiving subsidized housing payments and allowed unsafe conditions to persist in Section 8 properties, according to a recent federal audit.
