I have a dream

As we participate in another election, I have a dream that it will manifest a new day in the way we select public officials, govern our body of constituents, enact and enforce laws, and promote the truth of our society that all men are created equal and have the inalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

I have a dream.

I have a dream that this election will demonstrate that America seeks the promise of a better tomorrow for the nation as a whole and will defeat the promise of a better tomorrow for a small segment of the nation. No new taxes will not eliminate a tax burden for the rich and add a burden to the poor, nor will it eliminate programs necessary to create an empowering society that can improve the family, community, nation and the world.

I have a dream that the morals, values and goals of this country will be visible in the actions of those that represent this country. Anything and everything is not acceptable, but standards are raised. Individuals, groups, and nations are held accountable to be honest and loyal in the oaths they take and the authority they have been given to secure a productive and peaceful world.

I have a dream that in this election process we will select candidates not based on the color of their skin or the size of their campaign funds, but we will elect public officials based on their character, credentials, and position on issues.

I have a dream that big money lobbyists can no longer override what's in the best interest of the people, but the governing body will be the voice of the people it governs.
I have a dream the new governing body will exemplify a willingness to provide justice for all and not no justice at all. Where human rights supersede animal rights and all discrimination be eliminated.

I have a dream that a unified body of governing officials will enact and enforce laws that the government and the people will be expected to obey. Laws where you are innocent until proven guilty, justice is not dependent on fame, finances, or favors and illegal is not legal.

I have a dream…

Let us synchronize our watches and begin our new day in politics today. Let us cast aside the old way of voting for candidates, propositions, war and start a new way. If our focus is to make life better for all of us then none of us would have to suffer.

I have a dream…
