Beloved wife of the late August Verda. Mother of Leon Verda and his wife, Lutie LeBlanc Verda, Leroy Verda and his wife, Adeline Breaux Verda and the late Lena Tregre. Mother-in-law of Arthur Tregre. Daughter of the late Leon and Mary Weimer Chiasson. Sister of Alma Dasch, Helen Rome, Rosemary Chiasson, Betty Hymel, Bernice Oubre, the late Leon J. Chiasson, Arthur F. Chiasson, Marie Laque, Alice Mae Palmisano and Pauline Chaisson. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by one grandchild. A native of Boutte, LA and a resident of Luling, LA. Age 89 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Luling, LA on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 11 a.m. Interment St. Charles Cemetery, Luling, LA. Visitation from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Falgout Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.
