Hilda Rita Ponvelle Arabie passed away on Friday, October 19, 2007 in Destrehan, LA.
She past away peacefully with family by her side to whom she was a devoted wife and mother. Wife of Alceste A. Arabie, Sr. Daughter of the late Leonard and Connealue Constant Ponvelle. Mother of Wayne P. Arabie, Sr., Alceste A. Arabie, Jr., Eudolia M. Arabie, Allison A. Subervielle, Barbara A. Donaldson and Brenda A. Saucier. Sister of Harry Ponvelle, Enola P. Goulas and the late Inez P. Roundtree. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Age 82. A native of Lafourche Parish and a resident of Destrehan, LA. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 22, 2007 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, LA. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, LA. Visitation at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Norco, LA was from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2007. Visitation was at St. Charles Borromeo from 9 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday. H.C. Alexander Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
