St. Pierre to be president

St. Charles will have a new parish president, V. J. St. Pierre, who became president-elect when “Snookie” Faucheux pulled out of the runoff Monday. As a former councilman, he displayed many times his love of the parish and desire to work for the benefit of its citizens.

The election is not over. There will be runoffs for some statewide offices, seats in the legislature and some seats on the council.

Be sure you finish the process by voting on November 17. Remember that bad public officials are put into office by good citizens who do not vote.
