Ralph Joseph Robert, Sr., a native of Luling, died Friday, Oct. 12 after his difficult battle with lung cancer. Ralph left this Earth peacefully around 11:15 p.m. surrounded by his immediate family. Ralph, born Dec. 8, 1942, was a devoted husband, loving father, veteran of the United States Army and an avid hunter. He was 64. Ralph is survived by his beloved wife Nellie Zeringue Robert, son Ralph J. Robert and wife Jill, daughter Inga Robert Comardelle and husband Keith, and one grandson, Colby John Robert. His brother Lawrence Robert Jr. and wife Johnna and his sister Elaine Robert St. Pierre and husband Jack, in addition to many nieces and nephews, also survive him. He is preceded in death by his father Lawrence F. Robert Sr. and his mother Eunice Gaubert Robert. A celebration of his life will be held for all family and friends at his home in Luling on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
