The Satellite Center Advanced TV Broadcasting and WebQuil Class along with the Destrehan Video Crew will be producing a multi-camera live web cast of the Destrehan vs. Hahnville football game Friday, Oct. 5.

After weeks of planning and testing by the St. Charles Parish Public School System’s ITS Department and the WebQuil Class at the Satellite Center all systems are ready to broadcast.

Albert Dupont, Facilitator for the Advanced TV Broadcasting class said, “We believe this may be the first ever video and audio live web cast of a high school game in the state of Louisiana. We found some schools that have produced web blogs of a game or audio web casts but none that were multi-camera video and audio. I think it’s great that we will be able to bring the excitement of high school football in St. Charles Parish to anyone in the world.”

The broadcast, which is entirely produced by students, will begin at 6:15 p.m. on Friday with the “On The Prowl” coach’s show produced by the Satellite Center followed by a pre-game show and then the game broadcast at 7 p.m.

The broadcast will be accessible on the Satellite Center’s website at: http://satellite.stcharles.k12.la.us/video_streaming.htm
