The River Region Arts and Humanities Council hosted its sixth annual Fleur De The’ on Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Ormond Country Club in Destrehan.

Members enjoyed a fashion show hosted by Steinmart, and two selections performed by a local opera singer, who has performed worldwide to include Carnegie Hall in New York.

"The sixth annual tea, the organization was founded to give grants to schools in the tri-parish area," said Audrey Giardina, one of several event coordinators. "We've raised $250,000 and presented grants all across the parish to various organizations."

"We give the tea every year for our members and guests," she continued. "Money collected from the tea will be used to support the organization and assist in awarding grants."
