Unfortunately because of the historic circumstances, a large number of buyers had no choice but to buy homes at higher prices.
People have relocated here to find welcoming neighborhoods and great schools. This market was not a “centered market.”
During the two years after Katrina, the market has slowly moved back toward the center. The market has now become more of a buyer’s market, offering many homes to choose from and declining market prices. If the thought of a new home is intriguing, now is a good time to start looking.
Many homes have sat for sale for awhile and sellers may be becoming anxious. Price reductions are taking place all through St. Charles Parish.
Sellers are still enjoying slightly higher asking prices than before the storm and buyers are enjoying a wider selection of property the lowest asking prices since the storm.
