Congratulations to Tonya Keller Fontenot who graduated in May from the University of Louisiana with a bachelors degree in nursing and a member of the Nursing Honor Society.

Tonya is now a registered nurse at Children's Hospital in New Orleans doing what she always wanted, caring for and working with children in the medical field. She was a 2003 Hahnville High graduate and resides in Luling with her husband, Ryan Fontenot. Tonya and Ryan married on June 2.

Congratulations to Hahnville High School teacher, Dennis Robbins, for being recognized as an “ADDA Certified Drafter”. This recognition is awarded upon successful completion of the ADDA Drafter Certification Examination and demonstrates his knowledge of the primary drafting standards and practices used throughout industry. Robbins has been teaching drafting along with other Career & Technical classes at Hahnville High for 32 years.

Former Hahnville Volunteer Fire Department Chief Arthur Tregre has returned home after being hospitalized since last August following a head-on collision with St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Watson, who died in the accident.
