Gibson
Julie Simoneaux Gibson, was welcomed into Jesus’ arms, on Wednesday, Aug. 15 at 4:45 p.m., ar the age of 66. Wife of the late Roy “Hoot” Gibson.
Daughter of the late Edgar T. Sr. and Elmire Simoneaux. She is survived by two sisters, Kathleen Richard, Yolande Brignac and one brother, Sheldon Simoneaux. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Edgar T. Jr., “John” Millard, “Charles” Wayne, and Florisha “Icky” Guedry. She was loved by many niecesand nephews. She was a relative of Norco and a resident of New Orleans for 25 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Alexander Funeral Home, 821 4th St. in Norco on Friday, Aug. 17 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Speed patrols return to I-310 after months-long absence - 1698 views
Over the past four months, those who often travel the elevated portions of I-10 and I-310 in St. Charles Parish have noticed a lack of state troopers on the interstate.
