Natalie Elkins Theriot on Thursday, Aug. 2 at 11:26 p.m. in River Ridge. Beloved wife of Tommy Theriot, Sr. Mother of Tommy Theriot, Jr., Tiffany Comeaux, Mallory Naquin and Kaylie Theriot. Grandmother of Rhett Comeaux. Daughter of Alma Verdin. A native of Des Allemands and a resident of Luling. Age 52 years. Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend the funeral. Religious services at First Baptist Church in Des Allemands on Saturday, Aug. 4 at 11 a.m. interment was at Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale. Visitation from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Natalie Theriot Fund at First National Bank USA to help pay for medical expenses. Falgout Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.

Little more than a week after officials from 14 parishes took a trip to Washington, D.C. to lobby against potential flood insurance rate hikes, some of those same officials convened with Sen. David Vitter at the home of a Bayou Gauche couple.
